Após 10 anos à frente da equipe de Relações com Investidores do Banco do Brasil, recebi um convite irrecusável: ser o novo Diretor de Participações da Previ - Fundo de Pensão dos Funcionários do BB, cuja posse ocorrerá amanhã, 01/06/2010.
Por um lado, deixo a RI com certa tristeza, pois participei de seu nascimento e desenvolvimento, até chegarmos ao reconhecimento que hoje temos do Mercado. Mas por outro, saio feliz com o sentimento do dever cumprido !
Participei do processo de inclusão do Banco do Brasil no Novo Mercado da Bolsa de Valores de São Paulo, das duas ofertas públicas de 2006 e 2007, que triplicaram o free float do BB, do lançamento do Programa de American Depositary Receits - ADR e do lançamento e preparação para a oferta pública de 2010, que participarei agora como investidor.
Foram momentos de muito trabalho e desafios, mas repletos de alegria, satisfação e reconhecimento. Conseguimos montar uma equipe com alto nível de excelência e comprometimento. Sem ela, a RI do Banco do Brasil não teria alcançado o patamar em que se encontra.
Com o apoio da Equipe, ajudamos o Banco do Brasil ser valorizado pelos investidores. Seu valor de mercado saltou de R$ 5 bilhões para R$ 67 bilhões nessa última década, fruto não só da boa administração e da excelente performance da empresa, mas também das melhorias que ajudamos a promover na governança corporativa do BB e na comunicação que mantivemos com analistas, investidores e acionistas.

After 10 years heading the Investor Relations Department in Banco do Brasil, I have received an invitation I couldn't refuse: to act as the new Senior Executive Director of Asset Allocation and Governance in Previ - Banco do Brasil's Employees Pension Plan, which inauguration will be tomorrow, 06/01/2010.
On the one hand, I am leaving the IR Department feeling a little bit sorrow, because I have been there since the beginning, helping its development until now, when it's improvements are fully acknowledged by the Market. On the other hand, I am happy for leaving with the feeling that I have fulfilled my duty !
I was in charge of the process for joining Banco do Brasil to the Novo Mercado special listing in Bovespa, of the 2006 and 2007 follow-on offerings, which tripled Banco do Brasil's free float, of the launching of BB's ADR program and the launching and preparation of the 2010 public offering, in which I will participate as an investor from now on.
I had moments of too much work and challenges, still full of joy, satisfaction and recognition. I was able to build up an excellent and highly committed Team. Without it, BB's IR area wouldn't have achieved the position it is on right now.
With teamwork, we were able to help Banco do Brasil being valued by investors. Its market cap jumped from R$ 5 billion to R$ 67 billion in the past decade. This behavior reflected not only the good management and excellent performance of the Company, but also the advances we helped promoting in BB's corporate governance and communication with analysts, investors and shareholders.
I step out into this new challenging position feeling fulfilled and confident that Banco do Brasil's investor relations will be even more prized by the Management and improved by the IR Team, on whom I totally rely.
